Award:
Five hundred dollars is to be awarded to the student on or before July 15 of each year.

Eligibility for Scholarships:
Current and future women students accepted into an accredited college or university, community college, or junior college pursuing a degree in criminal justice.

Evaluation Criteria:
The scholarship program is open to students attending or planning to attend a college, university, or a junior college or community college. Applicants must be accepted into the program.

Scholarships are evaluated according to academic ability, proven dedication to public saftey, and financial need.

Scholarship applicants are judged by the Board of the Texas Correctional Association. The Board may also utilitze independent career professional to assist in determining the award recipent.

Application Deadlines:
Applications for the Susan C. Canford Memorial Scholarship must be postmarked no later than January 31st of each year.
